The 40mm caliber grenade launcher UGBL-1 is designed for mounting on Stoner system M-4 and M-16 type automatic rifles. Used to destroy the enemy's openly deployed manpower and lightly armored equipment.

The grenade launcher is equipped with a mechanical target device that allows the target to produce a maximum of 450 meters. On the grenade launcher the shots of various modifications and purposes of NATO standard 40 × 46 mm caliber are used.
